hahaha I love how it says “we’ve been recording” and you hear random strums of the guitar and tapping of the drums.

Hello good sirs of Tokyo Police Club,

I am ever so curious as to the solution to the lyrical dilemma in the audio recording of “Citizens of Demain” in which one Dave Monks melodically chants the phrase “that’s two thousand and nine”. Based on the Panda calendar hanging upon the blue walls of my room, I have concluded that the year 2010 AD begins in a relatively short period of time. Whenst the performace-ing re-begins, what will young Monks do about this disorienting, time-travelling prediction of a line?

Oh, and I feel like the new album is going to break iTunes when I rip it into my library because I’ve put the settings so that only a certain amount of awesomeness and musical genius is allowed per track. It looks like the new songs will go far beyond this set point. (That’s a positive prediction)

    dear jonah,
hopefully you have checked back to this cyber-location to find the answer to your query. as bright members of a technologically inclined generation, were are fully capable of dealing with the challanges that time travel presents. the lyric will not be changed and as a result, all members of an attending audience will either explode into space-dust or grow a bit younger and forget the name of recent girlfriends.
thanks for the positive prediction but be forewarned we cannot be held accountable for the well being of your itunes.
